Bal Masqué

I was working at the restaurant last night. There was a cocktail party upstairs for about 70 people, all doctors, specialists, or people related in a way to the radiology department of the Adelaide Hospital. They were celebrating the acquisition of a new important machine for cancer treatment. Apparently, it took them years to be able to afford and get a hold of one. So good on them! But the thing that struck me the most during the evening was that EVERYONE was wearing a mask! EVERYONE!
When you try to throw a theme party in Canada, (or the ones I've been to or herd of) it is very rare, almost impossible to get everybody to get into it. You always get a few people who won't get into the spirit, will be too lazy to get a costume, or who are just too self conscious to dress up. But here, theme parties are pretty common. And everybody gets into it. I just love a bunch who are always up for a good laugh, and a good time.

Oh, and there was this chick with a Darth Vader helmet, big, black and shiny... She also had this voice thing that transformed her voice into Vader's whenever she spoke...

'Helloooooooo......(hhhhhhhhhhooooooooooooooo) Could I haaaaave a glaaaaassssss of reeeeed plesaaaaaase? (hhhhhhhhhhhhhhoooooooooooo)'

It was so cool.

I know a few guys who would just kill for one of those...

The awkwardness of the first post

So here's the thing.

It's hard to figure out where to start when you post your first post.
There's always the question of 'is my life really interesting enough to be posted on the net, and have some people actually reading it'?

Well, we'll see, now, won't we?

So here goes.

My first post.
